For the 2026 season, hunts will only be offered in the Carney management unit. 

The Carney unit is composed of Menominee, Dickinson, and Delta counties. Of the top 60 bears ever killed in the state of Michigan, 26 of those have come from the Carney management unit. Therefore, we have decided to operate only in the Carney unit to harvest more trophy bears. 

Bear Hunting over Bait:

As soon as our season arrives, Wild Spirit Guide Service is busy in Menominee, Dickinson, and Delta counties to provide our bait hunting clients with the perfect locations to bag the bear of their dreams. Bait hunting for bear will allow a hunter the opportunity to take in the sites, smells, and sounds of our beautiful forests and wildlife of all kinds. Pre-baited sites are placed well in advance and baited regularly to accomodate archery or firearm.

Season Dates: There are 2 available seasons

Bait ONLY:

September 9th (First Period)

September 14th (Second Period)
* note special dates are reserved for bait-only hunting Sept. 9-13th. No hounds are able to be ran for this 5 day period.

Bear Hounds ONLY: 

Bear hound hunts offer an excellent opportunity to harvest trophy class bears. Hunts begin the second period, September 14th and run threw mid October.

Booking Policies

A 50% deposit is required to book any hunt. Deposits are non-refundable.
